The mission of the CRCPHP is to conduct high quality, lifestyle-based prevention research, and supports community wellness, aimed at improving health and reducing disease risk.
The goal of the CRCPHP Membership program is to recognize, encourage and advance collaboration between Members, the CRCPHP, COPH, and across the UA and broader Tucson community. Membership requires a major interest in wellness research and involvement in CRCPHP programs. The program will provide a rich environment for research-practice connections, campus-community partnerships, and innovative research development.
The Colleges of Public Health, Agriculture and Life Sciences, and Medicine have a plan for a Research Collaboratory in place. The Collaboratory will be jointly directed by the MEZCOPH CRCPHP, CALS-Nutrition Sciences, and the COM Diabetes/Family Community Wellness Program. The Collaboratory will operate in partnership with Pima County and other community partners, affording a unique and exciting opportunity to support clinical, behavioral, and translational research. Cores within the Collaboratory will include: Diet/Physical Measurement, Diet/Physical Activity Education & Intervention, Body Composition & Metabolic Assessment, Community Outreach & Engagement, Recruitment, and Data Management & Evaluation.
