Health effects of exposure to dietary contaminants and the interaction with nutrients in the diet. Research related to arsenic exposure, respiratory outcomes, obesity, and developmental disorders.
Dr. Kurzius-Spencer's training and experience are in genetic, molecular and environmental epidemiology, in which she has authored or coauthored 26 peer-reviewed publications. Her recent research is focused on assessing the effects of exposure to dietary and other environmental contaminants on specific health outcomes, on children, and on public health in general.
