Training

At CRCPHP, we provide evidence-based interventions and lead personalized trainings for community members, families, and students.

Families Talking Together Intervention:

Families Talking Together (FTT) is a parent-based intervention targeted to prevent and/or reduce sexual risk behavior among Latinx and African American adolescents ages 10-14 years old. Within FTT, a trained interventionist distributes a written program manual, designed to promote healthy communication skills, build relationships, help parents develop effective monitoring strategies, and teach adolescents assertiveness and refusal skills.

Parents can receive the intervention individually or in small groups, over the course of 2 sessions (recommended). Parents will receive homework in the form of communication activities with their child.

If interested in learning more or receiving the intervention, please contact Lindsay Bingham (lbingham@email.arizona.edu). We provide the intervention to all families, communities, and cultures.

Nurtured Heart Approach® Training:

The Nurtured Heart Approach (NHA) is a relationship-focused method built on the foundation of the 3 Stands™. Parents, educators, couselors, and youth program coordinators use the Approach to inspire greatness in young people, and to teach them to use their intensity in great, productive ways. The intention of the Nurtured Heart Approach is to build Inner Wealth™, helping young people grow to be "strong on the inside."

For the last 20+ years, the NHA has been used with the most difficult children, but is intended to be used with all children and all people.

If interested in learning more or receiving a 1, *3, or *6-hour training in the Approach, please contact Lindsay Bingham, NHA Certified Trainer (lbingham@email.arizona.edu). We provide NHA trainings at all levels and to all audiences (i.e. individuals, parents/families, institutions, and communities).
