Major Area of Interest:
Genetic epidemiology, cardiometabolic disease, physical activity, health disparities, gene-by-environment interactions.
Yann Klimentidis, PhD is a genetic epidemiologist, focused primarily on cardiometabolic traits and diseases. My research group uses genetic and epigenetic information to: 1) understand disease pathophysiology, 2) understand and minimize health disparities, 3) individually tailor treatment and prevention approaches, and 4) improve prediction of disease risk
